Tia Blanco

Professional surfer from San Clemente, California. In 2015, she won the gold medal at the Women’s World Surfing Championship, and defended her title a year later. Tia Blanco has been on a plant-based diet for eight years. She grew up on a vegetarian diet, her mom was a vegetarian from the age of twelve for ethical reasons. For a while, the famous surfer tried to be a pescetarian, she believed that eating fish was part of surfing. However, after a short while and during the studies of other researches, she decided on a purely plant-based diet. Tia Blanco said that she never forces people around her to become vegan, but she likes to explain her ethical reasons and way of eating. She wants people to respect what she has on her plate and to understand her, so Blanco herself respects others.
